Mt. Baldy

Backpacking Baldy was nothing but a workout, and an amazing hike. Camping at the peak was a thrill, and it is still to do this day one of my most restful nights ever. Baldy is a must for anyone who lives in So-Cal. It is close to LA. The mountain stands at 10,064ft in altitude. The Night, and the Morning views are epic, and the city lights illuminate in the distance. We started our hike at around 3:45 pm, and reached the peak at around 8:30 pm. We carried our backpacking gear, and extra water, our total weight was around 30 lBS p. bag. We should have hiked on a night where the moon was out and bright, but we live and learn. The peak is windy, so be sure to strap your tent down, and build shelter around your tent if needed.
